Turkish Navy Ship in Chennai

In a bid to bolster Navy-to-Navy cooperation, Turkish Naval Ship Gediz arrived at Chennai on a two-day visit.

CHENNAI: In a bid to bolster Navy-to-Navy cooperation, Turkish Naval Ship Gediz arrived at Chennai on a two-day visit.

The visit, which is an indicator of the importance given by Turkey to India, will include courtesy calls, receptions, ship tours, professional exchanges and sports fixtures between Turkish and IndianNavy personnel.

The Consul General of Turkey Erdal Sabri Ergen and the CommandingOfficer of TCG Gediz, Commander Yusuf Kocaman, called-on Commodore Alok Bhatnagar, Naval Officer-in-Charge (Tamil Nadu & Puducherry). The ship will depart on Saturday.
