'My Gas' Launched for TN

CHENNAI:  Chandigarh-based Worthwhile Gases Private Limited (WGPL) has entered into a master franchise tie up with VM Agencies to cater to the demand for non-subsidised LPG gas cylinders in Tamil Nadu. The primary offering — My Gas — offers non–subsidised LPG cylinders in six kgs (priced at `392), 15 kgs (priced at `981) and 17 kgs  (priced at `1,112). The focus will be to ensure quick delivery to all consumers. For pre-lunch bookings, delivery at doorstep will be made post lunch.

“LPG is a strictly regulated and controlled market. From the side of WGPL, stringent quality control checks and mechanisms will be put in place to ensure that all the norms as laid  down by the CCOE (Chief Controller of Explosives) and PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation) and all other government authority and statutory authorities, norms are met. Our cylinders are of pilfer-proof technology,” said Akshay Jain, MD of WGPL. According to oil industry sources, bulk LPG requirement in Tamil Nadu is 1.2 million tonnes per annum, while availability is only 0.4 million tonnes per annum.
