ICWO Seeks Home for Chennai's Homeless People

CHENNAI: The Indian Community Welfare Organisation (ICWO) has sought residences on rent for accomodation of homeless people in any of the following areas — Anna Nagar, Mogappair, Padi, Koyambedu, Kolathur, Korattur, Ayanavaram, Villivakkam, Kellys, Kilpauk, Shenoy Nagar, Aminjikarai or Arumbakkam. A rent of Rs 18,000 per month can be paid and the project expects to accommodate around 30 to 35 people, among the homeless.

ICWO is a non profit, social work organisation that works for various developmental projects with a specific focus for women and child development for the past 21 years. ICWO successfully administrated a shelter for homeless people in Thattankulam near Purasawalkam. Based on its performance, Chennai Corporation selected ICWO to manage one more shelter for homeless people in Chennai.
