Kola Perumal School Turns 43

CHENNAI:The 43rd School Anniversary and inauguration of the Literary Associations of Kola Perumal Chetty Vaishnav Senior Secondary School was held in a grand manner recently. R Jayachandran, associate professor, Head of the Department of Tamil, Presidency College, was the chief guest of the occasion. He highlighted the noble deeds of the founder chairman of the school Kola Perumal Chetty and gave away proficiency prizes and scholarships to the students. Students staged English and Tamil dramas, as part of the function. That apart, there was a soulful chanting session of the Bhagavad Gita.
