Rajasthan Grameen Mela, organised by Jaipur artisans, is holding an exhibition, comprising the works by varuious craftspersons from across India. The handloom items displayed include Rajasthan Kota, Maheshwari churidhar materials and dress materials, running cloth in silk and cotton, etc. Apart  from cotton sarees, Kolkata cotton block printed, Gujarat tops and dresses, there are a number of other items, including Jaipur handloom sarees, There are Kashmiri Pashmina shawls, Kashmiri tops, Diwan sets, Sambalpuri hand-crafted male traditional kurtas in both short and long sizes and Gujarat Kutch Embroidery blouses.

Unde.jpgHandicraft items like dhokra — metal crafts of Orissa — appliqué patch works, palm leaf engravings, Saharanpur wooden Articles, Chenapatna Toys, Meenakari Jewellery and all kinds of brass metals and many more are available at the exhibition. As part of the display are bangara bags, acrylic paintings on charcoal drawing and paper, dry pappad paintings, pattachitra paintings, Madhubani paintings, Jaipur paintings, acrylic on canvas, sand painting and water colour painting.  The exhibition is on at Murugan Kalyana Mandapam, No 15, Gangai Nagar, 100-Feet Bypass Road, Velachery.
