55-year-old Widow Dies After Fall From 2nd Floor

CHENNAI:  A 55-year-old woman who fell from the second floor terrace while trying to remove a dress stuck to the clothes line on Tuesday night succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.

Police said Sunila Devi, a widow staying with her son in KK Nagar, went to the terrace around 11 pm to collect the clothes She tried to get a foothold on the parapet as she tried to balance herself before collecting a dress which got stuck on the clothes line due to strong wind. But because of the algae that had formed on the wall, she slipped and fell from the terrace. Sunila was rushed to a private medical university in Porur where the family was told that she had suffered only a fracture in her arms and was stable.

But her condition worsened and round 4.30 am, when the woman was rolled into the casualty ward, doctors declared her brought dead. K K Nagar police have registered a case and further  investigating are on.
