Taking Inspiration from Taveez

Amethyst presents Amrapali’s first-ever iconic compilation ‘The Chandrika Collection’. In silver plated brass, intertwining contemporary fashion, the designs have been inspired by mythical creatures and animals of ancient India and Indian charms, or the Taveez.

The collection captures the resonance of signature Amrapali craftsmanship and tradition of antique Indian ornaments, with miniature paintings hand painted on hand-made Sanganeri paper. The collected works comprise necklaces, rings, septum rings, anklets, armlets and a clutch bag, in pastels, primarily pink-enamel representing the Pink City. These are to be displayed at their upcoming jewellery museum. Available in the price range of `500 to `40,000, the collection will be on display  from August 1 from 11 am to 8 pm at Amethyst, entrance next to Corporation Bank, Whites Road, Royapettah. Ph: 044 45991630 /31/32.
