CHENNAI: Nearly 30 affected candidates who were offered the call letter and later cancelled by L&T Infotech and along with Knowledge professionals forum volunteers started a campaign to boycott Land T infotech IPO (Initial public offering) targeting investors and general public on Monday at DLF IT park at Ramapuram.

Slogans like 'Boycott L&T Infotech IPO',' We want justice', 'Anti development is L&T Infotech' and 'Anti-national is L&T Infotech' and so on were chanted by the affected candidates. They also distributed around 1000 pamphlets were distributed among IT employees.

According to Alagunambi Welkin President of Knowledge Professional Forum , these candidates from Mumbai,  Chennai,  Bangalore had been protesting for more than a month but they have not uttered a word, and instead they are selling their shares. "The internal crisis going on inside L&T Infotech so they are unable to provide jobs after sending the offer letter .

In the IPO content they have given some 485 pages document in which there are almost 60 to 70 pages which causes risk factors. They have mentioned how their attrition rates are getting higher and higher and we believe that the recruitment of 5800 students is also highly internal attrition and internal crisis. They simply can't do this to the affected students, that is why we gathered here to protest against the selling of shares," he said.

Another candidate requesting anonymity said," We are also getting calls from trainees who are sent out forcefully despite getting 80 percent marks. So this shows there are clear internal crisis they are having because of fraudulent activities the company is involved in. Giving them IPO is just an eyewash,"

The candidates were also seen covering their faces, this was because after protesting infront of the company the security guards forced them to protest in front of the DLF IT park. The L&T Infotech management were taking their picture to remember their faces as a result the students covered their faces.
