The baap of all apps

Elivio, which was named the the best app in the category 'Productivity' at the @GMASA'16 event in Bengaluru in July, promises to be make life easy by integrating home management, personal finances and family health etc under one cloud.

CHENNAI: Ever felt helpless when a loved one was in the emergency ward of a hospital and you had no clue about their insurance policy? Even if you did know, you may not have had immediate access to his health record. Then you realise you may not have had enough credit balance to pay up front and you wonder how your finances are this week. “It is during such times (and other times too) that the Elivio app (available on Android, and also as a portal) which will launch formally in August, comes handy. The app brings all the core family documents, tasks, schedules, finance and budget, on health, education for children and professional career tracking, home management etc under one cloud. It comes with one account for all family members, first of its kind in India. Hence it is a family organiser,” says Srikanth U, the spokesperson of the Hyderabad-based Invizo Technologies. Here he explains more about the app.

Can we call it an aggregator app?

Yes, it’s an aggregator on the lines of a digital family organiser that serves the purpose of information transparency and connectivity within the family.

Who do you think is the app most ideal for?

Families who are living together or residing in distant locations, but prefer organised details of everyone and everything in a family to plan activities such as festivals, vacations, outings and stay informed about other details.

Tellus a bit about the team behind it. The team size, background of the team, what prompted the idea.

Team Invizo is a 15-member start-up under the guidance of qualified and experienced personnel from IT & pharmacy industries. A couple of incidents ignited the idea of Elivio. First, too many things to remember about oneself and family but not having the info handy and organised; a couple of incidents when relatives were admitted to hospital, without any idea of patient’s health history, allergies and clueless for series of questions by doctors; Inability to locate health insurance details of a relative despite so much technology and info at hands. Perhaps every individual manages information on his/her own by other means, but wish for some information to be transparent enough within his/her family.

How did you go about the funding and if it did need any?  What are the expansion/upgrade plans, if any.

We sought funding, but mobilised through close contacts and friends. We have expansion plans in prominent geographic locations, besides much easier operation by user, enriching the features & Windows10 App.

What is the security aspect in the app that ensure my info is not misused?

The app is available only online and needs internet connection. So, we do not store any user data in any of his/her device. The access to the app is SSL protected and is cloud based. Even if the device is lost, information is safe on your family cloud. Simply sign-in again with your credentials from any device. Also Elivio doesn’t ask for any unnecessary permissions. We respect user privacy, we have put stringent security measures in place with secure servers/SSL/encryption. Also, we have partnered with the top cloud storage provider.
