CHENNAI: The school education department on Friday announced that the results for the 10th and the 12th board exams would be released on May 25 and May 17 respectively.
According to the Directorate of Examinations, the results of the Class 12 State Board Examinations would be announced on May 17 between 9.31 a.m. and 10 a.m, which would then be followed by the results of the SSLC examinations on May 25. Students could view the results on www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge1.tn.nic.in or www.dge2.tn.nic.in. They also could check on their performance in their respective schools.
Significantly, with school teachers also required to be on poll duty on May 16, a day before the results of the Class XII exam is announced, teacher associations have expressed fears about the back-to-back big events they are required to be responsible for. They say they have to come back to school after being on poll duty the entire day on May 16.
Nearly eight lakh regular students and 40,000 private candidates from TN and Puduchery had taken their Standard 12 Board exam which ended on April 4.
