CHENNAI: Traffic and a massive crowds choked the Padi area on Friday as Saravana Stores opened its latest showroom here The eight-storey extravaganza, which has products from gold jewellery to textiles, was inaugurated by film personalities like Tamannaah, Hansika, Shriya Saran, Jeyam Ravi, Madhavan and lyricist Vairamuthu.

The grand inauguration attracted a large number of people, who were present to witness their favourite filmstars cut the ribbon.

The store named ‘The Legend’ boasts of a commodity for everyone. Owner S S Saravanann said, “Our new showroom sells products from Rs 1 to Rs  1 crore and has something for everyone.”

True to his word, it has all commodities — from basic home essentials to gold and silver jewellery — to suit the needs of people across all social spectrum.
