CHENNAI: S L Naanu is a writer and a theatre artist-cum-writer who has penned several plays and has also acted in more than 2,000 stage plays. He recently won the best story writer award during the Kodai Nataka Vizha for his newly launched Tamil drama, Neeya Naana.

In other words, god always believes me.
Where do you see god?
In the mirror.
A quirky habit that you have in terms of being spiritual or a god believer?
Right hand moves up automatically to pray whenever I see a temple (even while driving)
What would your first words be if god appeared in front of you?
Hey! How are you?
If there was a dare/challenge you would like to give god what would it be?
I would ask god to make me CM of Tamil Nadu (Of course god will run away hearing this)
If you had two wishes, what would they be?
Will ask god to be with me always. If god is with me, then why ask for a second wish? Everything will work automatically.
If you had the power to grant one gift to god, what would it be?
I am not sure if this is a gift, but will make god do election campaign in this mid-summer heat!
If you had to write a play for god, what would it be about?
Commercialisation of god. I will keep god as substitute… in case someone ditches in the last minute.
Is there a pilgrimage site you always wanted to visit but haven’t?
Sabarimala, Vaishnavo Devi, Haridwar and an Amman temple just behind our compound wall which I haven’t visited so far.
