CHENNAI: Police have begun a hunt for a gang that allegedly took away a container truck carrying pharmaceuticals near Tiruvottiyur on Saturday. Police said that according to the complainants, the gang was heavily armed.
The truck from a private pharma firm in Ranipet had several lakh worth drugs for export. The driver parked the truck near Ondikuppam enroute to Chennai Port, when a six member gang in a car held the occupants at knifepoint and entered the truck. One of them were said to be carrying a gun.
