Prajanya Anand is a fashion stylist/consultant and is an alumnus of The Pearl Academy of Fashion, Chennai. She started her entrepreneurial career in 2011 and is the founder of fashion styling boutique, Studio Prajanyaa in Anna nagar. She has styled celebrities like Karisma Kapoor, R Madhavan, Shruthi Hassan, Ramya Krishnan, Shriya Saran, Amy Jackson and Armaan Ibrahim, among others for fashion shows, shoots and movies. She styles for all the fashion weeks in the south from Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hyderabad and Chennai...and travels nationally and internationally for shows and shoots.
How would you describe god to a child?
He's the guy that gives you the power to fight all the bad things in the world like all the ghosts and boogie men. He also gives you the power to achieve everything you need.
What would be your first words to god, if he/she appeared in front of you?
Hi. What's up...where have you been? Everyone's looking for you!
If you had the power to grant one gift to God, what would it be?
The power of speech...so that everyone knows what he is thinking.
Your most godly encounter?
As a teenager, I was stranded on the road and it was pouring. I didn't have a phone and I didn't know what to do. I wasn't getting any transport due to a traffic jam. Right when I broke down thinking 'why is this happening', a bunch of street kids randomly came up to me and asked me if they could help. They managed to get a rickshaw, helped me in and sent me home.
What if god were your neighbour? How would you treat him?
I would be chilling with him all day and getting the VIP treatment... Gloating that I'm bumchums with GOD.
A prank you would pull on god?
I would set a bush on fire and tease him about them being twins. In reference to Moses and the burning bush.
If you meet lord Yama what would you tell him?
I would ask him to get rid of the bull and give the poor animal a break.
Hollywood or Bollywood: Which industry would you cast god in? Why?
He's been cast in both. So someone has beat me to it.
Which actor would you want god to look like?
The dragon from Game of Thrones.
How would you style god for a new year party?
I imagine him to be a ball of light or energy or something. So I think he will make a radical disco ball.
What are the three things you would ask god for if you went to heaven?
I'm already in heaven. So I think I'll ask him where the all-you-can-eat-and-not-put-on-weight buffet is at and where the party-till-you-drop is!
Where would you take god on a Chennai tour?
Marina Beach... So he can snap his fingers, clean it up so we could actually see the beach.
