CHENNAI: A three-member gang hacked a realtor, Ravi (35), near his office at Nandiambakkam near Minjur in Tiruvallur district late on Saturday. Business rivalry is believed to be the motive, said the police.
Ravi, of Vinayagar Street in the same area was standing near his office, when a three-member gang came on a motorbike, hacked him to death and sped away.
Passersby alerted the police. The body was later taken to the government hospital for autopsy.
During the probe, the police found that Ravi had previous enmity centred on business with two realtors. Recently, he wanted to sell a plot of land when a dispute erupted between the three.
