CHENNAI: The NIFT campus was a maze of colours and enthusiasm as the students hosted the second edition of Men’s Trend, an all men fashion show. This was the first time the city hosted an only men’s wear show.

“The idea was to start a new phenomenon. A large portion of advertisement is dedicated to women’s fashion. We are trying to promote the same for men,” said Vinu Haasan, Tie Up Events.

Multiple designer brands showcased over 125 garments through 18 models (filtered out from 250 who applied from across the country). HIS STUDIO showcased the maximum collection of 45 garments which included suits and Indo-western wear.

Marks & Spencer launched their winter collection through the show wherein Ashok Manay, a Bengaluru-based designer, exhibited his traditional and wedding collections. Mumbai-based designer Sumit Das Gupta showcased his sleek and stylish Indo-Western wear while students of AFTT Fashion Institute showcased their winter collections. The show was choreographed and directed by Ganesh Gurung.
