CHENNAI: The State government should take steps to telecast live the Assembly proceedings in order to ensure transparency, PMK founder S Ramadoss has said on Sunday.
In a statement, he said it was frustrating to note that there were no useful debates in the Assembly in the last 22 days. People had a right to know the performance of their representatives in the House during debates.
Live telecasting of proceedings would provide an opportunity to the people to know the quality of the representatives they had elected.
Seven years have passed after the State government assured that Assembly proceedings would be telecast live when Arasu Cable TV Corporation was inaugurated, he said.
