CHENNAI: Former Chennai city Police Commissioner S George, who deposed before the Jayalalithaa  death probe commission on Wednesday, reportedly said he had not met the late Chief Minister, J Jayalalithaa, when she underwent treatment at Apollo Hospitals.

S George served as Chennai City Police Commissioner between September 8, 2016 and  March 24, 2017. He retired in September 2017.

George visited Apollo Hospitals every day between September 22 and December 5 2016, when Jayalalithaa was hospitalised. However, he did not meet her even on a single occasion, said sources in the Arumughaswamy commission, quoting George as having deposed before the panel. He was asked to appear again on Thursday.
