Fire at Nehru Yuva Kendra office, none injured

NEW DELHi: A fire broke out in the office of Nehru Yuva Kendra, situated in a multi-storey building, in east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area today, but none was injured, fire department officials said.

A call about the fire at the Kendra's office, situated on the fourth floor of Scope Minar in Laxmi Nagar area, was received at around 4.38 AM, following which 27 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, they said, adding that it was brought under control by 6 AM.

No one was injured in the fire, the official said. Furniture and other items in the Kendra's office were  damaged in the fire, which is suspected to have caused by a short-circuit, they said.
