NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police today informed their counterparts in Uttar Pradesh about a call threatening to kill Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The city police went into a tizzy after a duty officer in the police control room got the call on his land-line number at 3 pm.

According to a senior police officer, "The caller said that you have only one hour to save Adityanath and then disconnected the call."

The caller threatened to kill the UP CM, police said, adding the call later turned out to be a hoax.

The officer said that the call was made using Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and could not be traced. The Delhi Police's Special Cell is looking into the matter, he said.
