Accused selling fake marksheets arrested

NEW DELHI: Delhi police has busted a gang who used to sell fake marksheets, certificate etc in Delhi.

According to the police, 4 accused has been identified as Rupesh Kumar, Rithesh Kumar, Someer Kumar and Mukesh Thakur. Accused used to sell certificates and diplomas etc for Rupees 5000 to 20,000 per certificate.

“One complainant filed a complaint alleging that he had contacted Rupesh Kumar for admission in class 10th but instead of getting him admission in 10th class, Rupesh Kumar provided him Degree, Mark Sheet, Migration of 10th class of year 2003 having name and photographs of the complainant. He paid also paid 5000 Rupesh Kumar,” DCP west Vijay Kumar said. Later, Delhi police laid a trapand arrested Rupesh. “On sustained interrogation, he disclosed that the said degrees were provided to him Ritesh Kumar. Further, he disclosed that his associates Someer, Rajesh Gupta, Mukesh Thakur and other are involved in this gang.

He further led to the arrest of other accused,” Kumar said. They used to obtain fake degrees from Someer Kumar and his associates through courier, e-mail and Whatsaap. Accused Someer Kumar used to obtain Degrees from another person who is from Bhiwani, cops claimed.
