In a representation submitted to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, the TDP requested him to extend the last date for submitting the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) and remitting the final payment of Building Penalisation Scheme (BPS) applications till March 31.
GHMC TDP floor leader Singireddy Srinivas Reddy said the government had issued a memo informing applicants to remit the final payments for pending BPS applications before Dec. 31, failing which red notices would be issued to defaulters.
However, authorities had not issued notices to applicants, he said.
“Owing to Christmas vacation and ensuing Sankranthi, the residents have left for their native places, and cannot remit the payments.
It would be unfair to initiate stern actions against them,” he said.
