Eight new SETWIN centres from September 1

A managing committee meeting was convened by newly appointed chairman of Employment Promotion and Training in Twin Cities (SETWIN), Maqsood Ahmed on Tuesday to train more people.

Maqsood Ahmed informed that eight new SETWIN training centres will be inaugurated on September 1. Various schemes of training were discussed in the meeting through which 45,000 candidates are expected to benefit. Some of the schemes include opening of one training centre of SETWIN in each district headquarters through which 15,600 candidates will benefit through training unemployed youth and also the training of 1800 candidates under Modular Employable Skills courses via 17 SETWIN training centres.

It was also mentioned that a proposal was submitted to the government for the sanction of 100 mini buses which can be operated in GHMC limits duly linked with the upcoming Metro Railway stations.
