A Haj pilgrim from Hyderabad, Mohammed Iqbal(63), who was admitted in a Mecca hospital for kidney related problems, passed away on Thursday.
According to a release issued by the Andhra Pradesh State Haj Committee here on Thursday, Mohammed Iqbal along with his son and daughter-in-law had left for Mecca on October 4 and were scheduled to return on November 8.
In the meantime the sexagenarian developed kidney-related problems and was admitted in a hospital there. While undergoing treatment he went into coma and died. His last rites were performed in the holy city.
Minorities Welfare minister Mohammed Ahmadullah extended his sympathies to the bereaved family.
