Singapore Students at City Lake

Around 20 students from the National University of Singapore, as a part of the India Immersion Programme organised by the National University of Singapore and the Singapore government, visited Ameenpur Cheruvu at Patancheru here on Thursday. This was in collaboration with city-based NGO, Save Our Urban Lakes. The students after the lake walk met and interacted with officials of HMDA and GHMC.

Rahul Mukherji, associate professor in the department of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore, explained that these undergraduate students belonging to various disciplines were selected by the university for the study trip to India. “This trip has given students tremendous exposure about the diversity in India and may help them engage with India in the future,” he shared.
