The SCR plans to instal 32 more escalators at 19 stations and 30 lifts at 16 stations.

As part of green initiative the SCR has fitted 194 bio-toilets in five trains _ Hussainsagar, Bangalore, Machilipatnam, Manuguru and Padmavathi Expresses _ and will instal 254 more in 64 coaches soon.

SCR plans to set up Passenger Care Centres at all major stations. The centres would provide all services under one roof, Srivastava said.

The 39-km-long new line between Khanapur and Humnabad will be inaugurated by the railway minister on December 29. A 59-km-long new line between Raichur and Gadwal  was commissioned in October.
