OUCET counselling from end of June

The OUCET is being conducted to fill post graduate seats in Osmania, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi and Palamuru universities and the colleges affiliated to them.

The results of Osmania University Common Entrance Test (OUCET-2013) were declared here on Monday.

The OUCET is being conducted to fill post graduate seats in Osmania, Telangana,  Mahatma Gandhi and Palamuru universities and the colleges affiliated to them.

Speaking to newsmen after announcing the results, OU vice-chancellor Prof S Satyanarayana said the subject-wise rank cards of candidates were posted on the varsity website at www.osmania.ac.in/ and the candidates can download them.

The should should appear for counselling with the  downloaded rank card. Out of the 84,317 candidates who applied for the test, 50,913 candidates cleared it.

The notification for entrance test was issued for 52 subjects that includes 39 PG  courses, 10 PG diploma courses and three five years integrated courses.

The university did not conduct entrance test to nine courses which received less number of applications than the seats available.

Prof Shivaraj, director of admissions, OU,  said that counselling would likely to commence from the last week of June and  classes from July 23.

The detailed schedule of counselling subject-wise will be posted on the varsity website soon, he said. There are a total of 18,881 seats.
