A 25-year-old techie committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling in her bedroom at KPHB colony here Thursday.
Police suspect Tejisvini, was in love with one Narasimha, took the extreme step after her parents started searching for a suitable match for her.
According to police, Tejisvini feared that her parents would not agree to their alliance. At around 6.30 am, Tejisvini’s friend Sandhya, who shares the flat with her, found her body hanging from the ceiling.
“She informed Narasimha, who in turn alerted us. We then recovered the body,” sub-inspector M Yesudas said.
A case was registered and investigation is on.
