One held in hit-and-run case

The Narsingi police on Friday arrested a 22-year-old event-manager Kranthi Kumar, who was involved in a hit-and-run case in which four labourers were killed on the spot on the Outer Ring Road a week ago. The police traced the accused through CCTV cameras that were installed on the ORR.

Kranthi Kumar was produced before the court which  sent him to remand on Friday. Narsingi police said Kranthi Kumar was returning  home after dropping his friend at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Feb 21. As the vehicle reached Manchirevula, his four-wheeler hit four labourers who were working on the ORR killing them on the spot. Kranthi Kumar fled away from the scene.
