More than a week after child artiste Narla Teja (17) drowned in river Ganga at Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, the search and rescue teams traced his body near a ghat on Tuesday.
On March 5, Teja and six other friends went for a swim in the Neem beach near Lakshman Jhoola in Rishikesh. While his friends stayed on the banks, Teja entered the danger zone and drowned.
Teja was studying in Mir Piri Academy in Amritsar and had gone to attend an international yoga festival at Rishikesh. His body was found near Sai Ghat.
His body is likely to arrive in the city Wednesday. Teja’s father Sridhar, a resident of Yousufguda, is associated with the Telugu film industry.
Teja has acted in films like Indra, Murari and others.
