15 hurt as robbers stone APTDC bus

As many as 15 passengers who were travelling in an AP Tourism Development Corporation bus were hospitalised with minor injures after a gang of robbers stoned the bus at Sholapur in Maharashtra in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to sources, when the bus was returning to the city from Shirdi, the gang tried to intercept the vehicle but the driver did not stop the bus. “It happened suddenly. In the stoning, the windowpanes were damaged and at least 15 passengers received minor injures. After the bus arrived in the city, the injured were taken to a private hospital. Their condition is stable now,” tourism officials said.
