Smearing of colour leads to murder

A man smearing colour onto the face of another led to the killing of a 45-year-old scrap trader at Udaynagar in Banjara Hills Wednesday. Police suspect previous rivalry to be the reason behind the murder.

Sagar, a resident of the same locality, smeared colour on  Raj Kumar’s face when he was riding his bike. Annoyed, Kumar had heated exchanges with Sagar. Sagar and his friends then beat Kumar with sticks, after which Kumar received serious injures. He was shifted to Mahaveer hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said Sagar was involved in harassing Kumar’s daughter a few days ago. He had then warned Sagar to change his attitude. Police suspect Sagar to have borne a grudge against the victim.  A case was registered.
