Christian community across Andhra Pradesh observed fasting and held prayers to mark the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the occasion of Good Friday.

The churches in Hyderabad and Secunderabad witnessed devotees thronging the shrines to offer special prayers, which were held to mark the day.

Churches were seen teeming with people attending special prayer sessions while priests spread the word of Christ’s selfless love. The sacrifice of Jesus was remembered at the mass congregations. Early morning masses were held in churches across the state. People also observed mourning and fasting to mark the occasion.

Programmes like ‘Way of Cross’ processions were held across state in which faithful’s walked bearing wooden crosses commemorating the final moments of Christ. A massive rally was held in Secunderabad from KGR Gardens to Patny circle.
