Startup Wins Best Smart Class Product Award

HYDERABAD: It’s celebration time for Hyderabad-based Smartur.com whose digital classroom solution Smartur 3D, has been awarded the Best Smart Class Product Award by World Education Summit(WES) held in New Delhi.

The digital solution of Smartur.com has been built on Augmented Reality (AR) and Stereoscopic 3D technology platforms and provided an advanced solution to educational institutes.

Smartur 3D (for science subject for classes six to 10) was conceived as a school product that will address the growing gap between schools that have the financial resources to afford existing digital classroom solutions and those that cannot.

“Augmented Reality has generated a lot of buzz because of its use in Google Glass. Smartur.com has found a strong use in technology in the education sphere as it aids experiential learning. This award is a validation of our R&D efforts and will spur us as we get ready to take our solution to the Indian market,” said Mr. Neeraj Jewalkar, founder and CEO, Smartur.com.

It has been deployed in over 20 countries including UK, Italy, South Africa and Uganda and across 15 schools in Hyderabad. At present, more than 500 schools in the US are using Smartur 3D.  WES is an annual event which is the biggest networking forum for leaders in education from around the world. The event draws participation from global education ministers, secretaries, industry and education leaders.
