'Super' Delivery for the Common Man

Helping society make a better place is the delivery service with a social twist, Superman Delivers, its founder Jattin Agarwal tells us more

HYDERABAD: While food delivery portals and messenger service are dime a dozen in the city, what makes Superman Delivers different from the rest is they deliver everything managing to encompass social causes within their gambit.

Operating along the lines of a messenger service, Superman Delivers is the brainchild of Jattin Agarwal, a mechanical engineering student.

A resident of Old City, he often observed that ordering food in his area is quite a task as many restaurants don’t deliver there. “Instead of restricting it to just food alone, I decided to start Superman Delivers wherein our messengers would pick and drop anything you want be it groceries, clothes, gifts, documents etc,”explains Jattin whose first target was collecting 1,000 blankets in a week which he was able to meet successfully.

“The idea was that there are a lot of clothes that people want to donate but don’t due to many factors as they have doubts whether the clothes will be properly utilized or not,” says Jattin. Collaborating with his friends NGO Clothes Box foundation, he decided to join hands with them offering free delivery service to people who want to donate their clothes. “Once you give us a call, we tag the clothes with the donors name which are segregated as per the age and then sent to the place of donation,” shares Jattin. The donor is assured of the proper utilization of the donation as the company uploads pictures of the clothes being given to those in need on their Facebook page and tags the donors in them.

Recently, the Superman Delivers alongwith Clothes Box foundation took part in the Kashmir relief program for the people of Jammu & Kashmir where they collected 1141 blankets in seven days and sent them to the Indian army. Superman Delivers charges `69 per 3kms going upwards to `300 approximately depending on the distance.
