HYDERABAD: The Enforcement Directorate has moved the High Court seeking quashing of the order passed by the Appellate Tribunal (PMLA), New Delhi, granting stay of proceedings against Nava Bharat Projects Limited (NBPL) in connection with the coal block allotment scam case.
The ED, in its petition, submitted that the Appellate Tribunal did not have any authority, jurisdiction and power to take the company’s appeal on record and to grant interim stay of the proceedings pending before the adjudicating authority. The impugned orders passed by the tribunal was contrary to the provisions of PMLA, 2002.
