Mobile Vet Clinics Project Yet to Take Off

HYDERABAD: The mobile veterinary clinics project of the Telangana animal husbandry department is yet to take off. The ambitious plan of the department was aimed at treating ailing cattle of farmers, who do not have easy access to veterinary clinics. Carrying ailing heavyweight cattle to the hospitals which are far away is something which farmers are not inclined towards and the mobile clinics will be catering to such farmers as well. The vans equipped with necessary medicines, equipment, and veterinary doctors was planned to be launched in 70 Assembly constituencies of the state.

It was slated to be launched in March. But it was postponed as officials said they need to gain some more clarity on how the project should be implemented. Earlier, the officials said that finding veterinary doctors was the main hindrance.
