HYDERABAD: A 2-year-old girl, Mahalakshmi, was washed away in a drain into which she fell while playing in front of her house in Papireddy Colony in Chandanagar police limits in the city on Sunday.
Locals who saw the incident informed the police. The Chandanagar police who received information visited the place and took up searching operation. Police said that they did not trace the victim and the search operation would continue even at night. As it is a covered drain, it is difficult to conduct search operation, they said.
