Nayeemuddin wanted plastic surgery to change identity and flee to Dubai

A senior police officer, who used to be in regular touch with the gangster, strongly dissuaded Nayeem from doing so.

HYDERABAD: Did gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin, who was involved in over a 100 cases, want to flee to Dubai after undergoing plastic surgery on his face to avoid arrest?

While investigating into the gangster’s nefarious activities, police officials found that Nayeemuddin had planned to get plastic surgery done on his face so that he could flee abroad easily and start operating from Dubai.

However, a senior police officer, who used to be in regular touch with the gangster, strongly dissuaded Nayeem from doing so, sources said.

A 45-year-old Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem, who earned assets worth thousands of crores of rupees illegally, had a final desire to continue his lavish lifestyle after fleeing to Dubai along with his family members. He also requested some police officials to help him to get a passport after plastic surgery to his face.

“Few years ago, Nayeem ap                                       proached a famous plastic surgeon (not in AP and Telangana) to reshape his face and erase identitifying marks in an attempt to avoid arrest. Nayeem also brought the matter to a senior police officer’s notice. However, the police officer strongly objected. Months after the police officer received information regarding Nayeem’s plastic surgery, the doctor who promised Nayeem the surgery warned of health complications. Later, the doctor allegedly left for abroad under suspicious circumstances,” sources told Express.  There were also rumours that Nayeem had fled to Dubai. Days later, a former Maoist and TRS leader Konapuri Ilaiah alias Sambasivudu was hacked to death.

Following the fake passport case in which Bollywood actress Monica Bedi was allegedly involved and the case reported in united Andhra Pradesh, Nayeem wanted to get a passport by creating fake ID proofs. For this purpose, he also purchased a house under a fake name. Based on the fake name, Nayeem obtained a sale deed of house, electricity connection, voter ID for getting passport.

The Cyberabad police, who seized hundreds of sales deeds from Nayeem’s residence and his family member’s residence, are busy in segregating the documents of sales deeds by identifying locations of illegal assets in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other states. Police have also found business cards of famous plastic surgeons at Nayeem’s residence during the searches held recently.
