Justice for Rohith Vemula: Mahadharna on Aug 29

HYDERABAD: Demanding arrests of those responsible for murder of Rohith Vemula and booking of case under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the Solidarity and Struggle Committee for Justice to Rohith Vemula will organise a Mahadharna at Indira Park here on August 29. 

“Dr Anand Teltumbde, Prakash Ambedkar, Teesta Sethalvad and Radhika Vemula would be the chief guests of the Mahadharna. Professors from HCU and all over the state and nation would participate. More than 33 organisations from all over the state are participating in the dharna,” said Bandaru Lakshmaiah, convenor of Struggle Committee for Justice to Rohith Vemula.

“No action has been taken against those responsible for the institutional murder of Rohith Vemula even after the National Commission for Scheduled Castes ordered Cyberabad Police and Telangana government on August 3 to take action against them. We demand their arrests under the Atrocity Act,” said Lakshmaiah.
