Sexy gets a new size

HYDERABAD: Size Zero has been the favoured measurement in fashion, but the first Plus Size fashion show in India for this category was pioneered during Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016. Presented by the ‘aLL’ label and expertly curated by Little Shilpa, the show was a colourful look at fashion for the ‘not so slim’.

The ten debutant models selected after a grand audition for the show were the highlight of the day.

The brand presented its best foot forward with high street casual, athletic day-to-day wear. The charismatic voluptuous models tapped their feet on the runway in smart and spunky outfits that included a royal blue mini number layered with a hooded checked monochromatic shirt, a printed summer dress teamed with an edgy leather jacket and denim-on-denim look was attempted with a pop of neon to make it look off-beat and modish.

An all-black sporty-chic look consisted of, fitted leggings, tank top and a flowing cape that also showcased the sensuous side of the vivacious ladies. The dapper men swanked on the catwalk in regular ripped jeans, leather jackets, bomber jackets and hooded shirts thrown over woollen and striped T-shirts looking absolutely suave and dashing.

The indigenous designer Little Shilpa styled the show to perfection; she raised the bar of the street look by layering it with chains, hoops, studded B-boy caps, beanies, chunky belts and ankle-high sports shoes.
