HYDERABAD: Alleging that around 396 houses, constructed under double bedroom housing scheme to the poor, in IDH colony in Hyderabad, were allotted to fictitious persons, former minister and Congress veteran Marri Sashidhar Reddy demanded that the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao take a stringent action against minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav for the same.
“The irregularities were proved in an enquiry conducted by the district collector. The collector earlier ordered the probe as per my complaint. It is clear that entire scam took place at the behest of minister Srinivas Yadav.
Hence, he should be dropped from the state cabinet and criminal cases should be registered against him,” Reddy said, while addressing mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan here. Asking the CM to give an explanation over this, the Congress leader demanded that steps be taken to arrest Srinivas Yadav to probe his role in the double bedroom houses scam.
