Water Board MD inspects  Cheruvu STP construction

HYDERABAD: HMWS&SB managing director M Dana Kishore  inspected the 30 MLD Swereage Treatment Plant (STP) at Nalla Cheruvu near Uppal and few under construction reservoirs taken up under the `1,900 crore HUDCO Aided Water Supply Improvement and Distribution Network in peripheral municipal circles on Friday.

He said that a 91 acre land adjacent to Nalla Cheruvu STP was allotted to HMWS&SB by HMDA. The land is required for construction of additional sewage treatment plant for the increased sewerage generated from peripheral circles mainly Kapra and Uppal municipal circles.
Regarding the progress of construction of reservoirs, he inspected the sites at Sowbhagyapuram,

Sahebnagar, Green Tank, Vanasthalipuram, Red Tank, Sachivalayanagar, Rythu Bazar, Vanasthalipuram and Auto Nagar. He directed general managers to come up with an action plan to commission the reservoirs with inlet, outlet pipes and distribution pipelines to provide water supply to peripheral circles in three phases before May, 2017.
