Google staffer harassed by security staff in moving car at Alwal

HYDERABAD: Close on the heels of a cab driver misbehaving with a woman staffer of Google in Narsingi police limits, a security personnel, who is supposed to escort women techies to and fro from work at night, harassed a techie in a moving car in  Alwal police limits.

The 25-year-old woman software employee lodged a complaint with Rachakonda police. The case was later referred to Alwal Police where the offence  took place. Alwal Inspector T Anand Reddy said the complainant works for a reputed IT firm, located at Cyber Towers in Madhapur.

The company provides a  vehicle with a security escort to drop employees after their duties. “The security  personnel allegedly used abusive language against the victim,’’ the inspector said.  When the driver tried to come to the victim’s rescue he was threatened. The scared  victim asked the driver to halt and got off. She reached home with the assistance of some locals.

On Sunday, the victim posted the complaint on WhatsApp to the  Rachakonda police. The case was referred to the Alwal police, who registered a case under section 354 (assault) of the IPC. According to police, an investigation is on.
