HYDERABAD: With the recent downpour causing a lot of inconvenience in Hyderabad, Dr M Channa Reddy Memorial Trust on Wednesday launched an initiative ‘Rain Ready’.
Organising a round table conference marking the 108th anniversary of Musi floods in Hyderabad, Trust secretary Marri Shashidhar Reddy said the initiative was launched in order to deal with the urban flooding by coordination and integration of all activities necessary to build, sustain and improve the ability of cities to mitigate and recover from flood and other such calamities.
Shashidhar Reddy said, “We will strive for multi-dimensional communications and enhance education, awareness and understanding among citizens and government officials regarding what should be done before, during and after a crisis or disaster ravages the city.”
