HYDERABAD/ NIRMAL: On a day when the Osmania University witnessed tense moments for the second consecutive day and TJAC warned the government of teaching a befitting lesson to the TRS government if it does not fill vacant government jobs, another person ended his life in Nirmal district on Monday allegedly depressed over not getting a job. The deceased, B Bhumesh (35), completed his MSc and BEd four years ago but failure to get a government job made him slip into depression and was undergoing treatment at the Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda. Bhumesh hanged himself with a nylon rope to a iron ladder at his house in Limba K village in Kuntala mandal.

“Bhumesh was waiting for a job notification and was mentally depressed over delay in the release of the notification. He feared that he may not get a job as he may the cross the age limit,’’ his parents said. As he went into depression he was admitted to IMH on August 18 and was discharged on September 9.
In the wee hours of Monday Bhumesh went out of the house and when his mother started searching for him, she was shocked to find him hanging.

Kuntala sub-inspector Younus Ahmed Ali Khan said a case was registered and investigation is on.  OU Tense:  Meanwhile, a day after M.Sc first-year student of Osmania University E Murali committed suicide in his hostel, mild tension prevailed on the campus on Monday after students staged protests.  Late in the night, police swooped down on some hostels and picked up some students and  TDP leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy and Congress leader Addanki Dayakar along with 20 students holding them responsible for the protests on Sunday.

A video showing police thrashing the students after breaking the doors drew widespread criticism.
Till Monday evening, the police and students had been at loggerheads with the latter trying to hold protests which were foiled by the police. Police dispersed a mob from the Arts College and took some students into custody and shifted them to nearby police station.

Meanwhile Osmania University Teachers Association demanded that a committee headed by a sitting or retired HC judge be appointed to probe the police action against the students.
Murali cremated
Meanwhile, in Siddipet district, the last rites of Murali were held under heavy bandobust. Police forcefully shifted the body of Murali from the university to his native Daulapur village in Jagadevpur mandal  at midnight. They reached Daulapur with Murali’s body at around 4 am.
They cordoned off all entry points to the village to prevent entry of university students and political leaders.  Police arrested those who somehow managed to sneak in, and shifted them to Jagadevpur police station.
