HYDERABAD: T-wallet users have some good news. They can now use the app to make toll payment while driving on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) as the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), a wing of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), has decided to accept T-wallet as one of the mode of payments at all of its 19 toll plazas on ORR.
The T-wallet is Telangana’s official digital wallet. It imposes zero charges on the citizens while making payments through it.No transaction charges would be levied on the vehicles users utilising T-wallet unlike other modes of payment where transaction charges are levied. HMDA officials informed Express that the T-wallet payment was introduced last week as an added facility and the process is going on smoothly without any problems by the private agency.
It would help commuters move fast and relieve them from tendering change at the toll plazas, they added. The state government also proposed the integration of T-wallet with Metro Rail Smart Card, Traffic e-challan, CDMA, TSPSC departments and 16,000 ration shops.
