HYDERABAD: Telangana Vidyarthi Nirudyoga JAC said on Tuesday that it would be conducting a ‘jail bharo’ rally from Osmania University Arts College to Chanchalguda jail in protest against the decision of OU to shut down hostels and messes in the university.
OU had released a circular on Monday saying that PG hostels and mess will be shut down from Tuesday after lunch till January 15. The JAC said this move is aimed at ensuring that no students are present on campus during the 105th Indian Science Congress to be held in OU from Jan 3-7, inauguration of which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
