HYDERABAD: Three women - victims of casting couch in Telugu film industry - have been rescued by Rachakonda police and two assistant directors from Ghatkesar were arrested for trafficking.
The two assistant movie directors were trapped by special operations team sleuths on Thursday at Singapore Township.
The prime accused and organiser of the sex racket Mula Rajashekar Reddy worked as assistant director in the movie Mr Money. After that, he could not do much in cinemas and incurred financial losses.
As financial pressure mounted, Rajashekar started organising flesh trade with the help of his friend Yarlagadda Ravi Kumar (23), who is also an assistant director from Amalapuram.
Two beauticians and a junior artist, who were lured by the culprits on the pretext of providing movie, roles were rescued.
