5,000 kids to watch Test match for free

About 5,000 children from various city schools will watch the India-Bangladesh test match, scheduled to be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal from February 9, for free.

HYDERABAD: About 5,000 children from various city schools will watch the India-Bangladesh test match, scheduled to be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal from February 9, for free.

The test match would be held amidst tight security with as many as 1,204 police personnel along with 10 bomb disposal teams guarding the stadium, said Rachakonda police commissioner M Bhagawat. 


The special branch, central crime station and fire tenders (2) with fire fighting staff would be part of the bandobust. In and around the stadium, a total of 56 CCTV cameras are being installed which will also cover the parking places and a command & control room is also established to monitor all the CCTV footage. 


She Teams and special parties have been arranged to meet with exigencies while separate teams are being deployed for checking the movements of anti-social elements.


All heavy goods vehicles coming from LB Nagar and Warangal routes would not be allowed towards Habsiguda and will be diverted at Uppal crossroads. 


Heavy goods vehicles coming from ECIL, Kushaiguda, Cherlapally towards Uppal crossroads will be being diverted via Mallapur bridge and LB Nagar junctions on all match days.
